Arnab Das
Trusted Sources
Arnab is responsible for Trusted Sources’s new offering, DM-EM Macro-Strategy, in which he and Jon Harrison work together to assess and capitalize on the axis between developed and emerging markets, around which the global economy and financial markets increasingly revolve and evolve. Taking a top-down, thematic perspective, they offer clients unique, actionable insight about the increasingly important two-way interaction across DM and EM, spanning politics, policy and performance —economic and financial.
Before joining Trusted Sources Arnab was co-head of Global Economics and Strategy at Roubini Global Economics in London and NY, a role in which Arnab built and added macro-strategy to RGE’s economic research offering. Before RGE, Arnab was a prominent investment-bank global and emerging markets macro-strategist. During the 2000s, Arnab led EM Research and Global FX Research, and also served as co-head of Global Economics and Strategy at Dresdner Kleinwort. During the 1990s, Arnab developed extensive expertise in emerging markets at JP Morgan, where he was served as a senior Latin America strategist working on all the major LatAm economies; then headed up Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa strategy, focusing on Russia/CIS, Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey and South Africa.
Arnab has achieved or led teams to repeated No. 1 rankings in emerging markets and foreign-exchange strategy as recognized by Euromoney, Credit Magazine, Global Investor, and FX Weekly. He continues to have a strong following among asset managers, hedge funds, family offices and sovereign wealth funds, particularly in the field of emerging markets. Arnab has extensive experience of working and living in the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Russia and India. Arnab studied at Princeton University and the London School of Economics, and is based in London and New York.
